Interlocks can be supplied with a switch module to provide electrical contacts which open and close when the key is turned. These can be used for remote monitoring of the interlock.

Bolt interlocks can be used to lock off electrical switchgear such as isolators and earthing devices. The bolt being extended into into a corresponding slot in a cam as the key is released. The key can then be used to open access doors, or continue on in an interlocking sequence.
